Today's tough question
I don't know how to classify this one. It isn't really a case of multiple negation, nor yet a cousin of the McCartney preposition, but it's too cool not to share. From the radio:
Are you losing the battle against weight loss?
I really don't know how to answer that. "No, me and weight loss are kind of in one of those Western Front trench stalemate things, but I have this cat who's just kicking its butt"?

That's good.
I personally am not fighting weight loss - but my cat, too, is winning. Cats must be particularly good at defeating weight loss.
(Seriously, this is one of those weird negative scope things like "You can't fail to miss the turn" or "his contribution can't be underestimated", I think.)
And have you quit beating your wife?
